How It Works

Step 1 – Purchase Your Membership

Choose either Gold Star Membership ($65/year) or Executive Membership ($130/year). After completing your purchase, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your membership number. You can start shopping right away using this number.

Step 2 – Get Your Physical Membership Card (Optional)

You can visit any Costco warehouse with a valid photo ID to pick up your physical membership card. A second household member can also get their own card free of charge.

The physical card is not required for online shopping or to receive your $50 Digital Costco Shop Card. However, to shop in-store, you’ll need to use either your physical membership card or the Costco mobile app.

Step 3 – Receive Your $50 Digital Costco Shop Card

Members who meet the promotion requirements will receive a $50 Digital Costco Shop Card via email within 2 weeks of purchase.

Promotion Terms

The $50 Digital Costco Shop Card promotion is valid only for:

New Costco members, or
Former members who have not had a Costco membership in the past 18 months.

Current Costco members are not eligible for this promotion. If you have an active membership, you may purchase a membership but will not receive the $50 Digital Costco Shop Card.
